I was 15 years old, and on my way out to school with my brothers, when everything began to shake. I never experienced an earthquake before, so I didn’t know what to do. My first thought was to stand under a doorway, except I picked the wrong doorway to stand under. You see, my brother was trying to run outside and I blocked him in. Until this day he reminds me how panicked I was and how he could’ve slapped me to calm me down. last_img
