For example, the crossing in Affiance Village next to the busy Imam Bacchus Co. Ltd has been removed. That area, the RDC noted, has a school, supermarket, rice factory, and play park. The RDC added that there has been one fatal accident involving a car and a pedestrian since the removal of that crossing. The RDC has said it raised its concern on the matter by way of letter written to the Public Infrastructure Minister, but to date has not received any response. Nevertheless, the RDC has said it is calling on the minister to urgently intervene and take appropriate action to correct this dangerous situation created on the Essequibo Coast.last_img
