Northwest Pipe reports 2Q profit of 32 million

first_imgVancouver-based Northwest Pipe Co. on Monday reported a second-quarter profit of $3.2 million. That compares with a profit of $5.5 million in the April-to-June period in 2013.The company, which manufactures steel pipe primarily for drinking water systems, posted net sales of $102 million, a year-over-year increase of 16 percent. Scott Montross, president and CEO of Northwest Pipe, said he expects third-quarter financial results to improve as the company sees higher levels of production in its water transmission segment.Northwest Pipe’s stock, which trades as NWPX, closed up 83 cents Monday, at $36.61 per share.last_img read more
