Governor Wolf Makes Holiday Visit to the Southeastern Veterans’ Center

Tony Carrelli, Pennsylvania’s adjutant general and head of the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA), along with members of the Pennsylvania National Guard for a holiday visit to the Southeastern Veterans’ Center in Spring City.“No matter how busy the holiday season gets, it is important to carve out time to celebrate with the veterans who have made it possible for us to celebrate,” said Governor Wolf. “It is also important to remember our service members who are currently serving abroad or stateside, and who are unable to be home with their families.”Governor Wolf greeted residents throughout the Spring City facility which serves 292 veterans and their eligible spouses with personal and skilled nursing care.“It’s always an honor to spend time with America’s heroes and personally thank them for their tremendous service to our Nation,” said Carrelli.  “We get great pleasure visiting our extended Veterans Family during the Christmas Season to spread joy and cheer throughout the Commonwealth.”The DMVA operates six veteran’s nursing homes located in Erie, Hollidaysburg, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Scranton and Spring City.
