VINTON, Iowa (May 8) – The tires that took Justin Kay to the checkers in Sunday’s Deery Brothers Summer Series feature at Quad City Speedway passed testing at an independent laboratory with flying colors. Tire samples were sent for chemical testing. “We have results from the lab, which verified the tires were legal,” Tour Director Kevin Yoder said. “Race results have been declared official and Justin has been paid the $3,000 for his win.” Random tire sampling will continue throughout the IMCA Late Model tour as well as at events for other sanctioned divisions this season.
MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa – Four sanctioned divisions are on the card for the Friday, Sept. 2 Showdown in Motown, with Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds running for $1,000 to win and a spot on the 2017 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot.IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods both vie for $500 to win while IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks chase a top check of $300.IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional and Allstar Performance State points will be awarded at the draw/redraw show.Spectator admission is $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and free for kids 10 and under.
