Tata Harrier prices hiked, SUV now starts from Rs 12.99 lakh

first_imgTata Harrier prices have been hiked by Rs 30,000 across all its variants. This is the first instance of Tata Motors increasing the prices of its premium SUV since its launch in India on January 23, 2019.Available in Calisto Copper, Thermisto Gold, Ariel Silver, Telesto Grey and Orcus White colour options, Tata Harrier is based on Land Rover’s D8 platform and is the first product from the Indian automobile major to sport the Impact 2.0 Design Language.Powering Tata Harrier is a Kryotec 2.0-litre turbocharged BSIV diesel engine that makes 140 PS and 350 Nm of torque. The motor is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. While the premium SUV does is not available with a petrol mill right now, there is no option for an automatic transmission as well.Tata Harrier rivals with the likes of Mahindra XUV500, Jeep Compass and Hyundai Creta. Another challenge to the premium SUV will come in the form of soon-to-be-launched MG Hector. The bookings for Hector have already begun and buyers can even test drive it from June 15.The premium SUV boasts of features like Xenon HID projector headlamps, dual function LED DRLs, 3D LED tail lamps and 17-inch alloy wheels.
